SPECIALTY CERTIFICATIONS
A specialty certificate demonstrates an in-depth understanding of one of the management specializations, including High Rise (HR), Large Scale (LS), Portfolio Management (PM) or New Development Community Management (ND). CCAM and MCAM certified managers are eligible to apply for a specialty certification after having held their primary certification for 2 consecutive years. In addition, CACM offers adjunct specialty designations in Age-Restricted Adult Community Management (AA), Commercial & Industrial CID Management (CI) and Lifestyle Management (LM) for those who have earned a PM, ND, HR or LS specialty certification. Earning a Specialty Certificate and Designation
STEP 1: Access education.cacm.org, My Certifications, and enroll in the desired specialty (Portfolio Management, Large-Scale Community Management, High Rise Community Management, or New Development Community Management).
STEP 2: Successfully complete the required coursework:
- LDR400 Human Resource Management
- INS400 Risk Management in Community Associations (The prerequisite for Risk Mgmt. is either INS200 Insurance Principles or INS300 Advanced Insurance Principles)
- And one of the following specialty courses:
STEP 3: Complete the Specialty Certificate application located in your in-progress specialty certificate on education.cacm.org.
STEP 4: Successfully complete the required narrative.
