How to Earn Your MCAM
Step 1: Enroll in the MCAM Program
Enroll in Master of Community Association Management (MCAM) on the Education Center.
Step 2: Meet Eligibility Criteria
Currently hold the CCAM and have at least 5 years experience in the industry.
Step 3: Complete the Educational Requirement
Complete a minimum of 30 educational hours of California-specific coursework in:
– Human Resource Management
– Ethics, professional conduct, and standards of practice for common interest development managers
– Insurance Principles and Risk Management
– Strategic planning of common interest developments in business principles, financials, maintenance, and effective policy governance
Step 3: Submit Your Exam Registration
Complete and submit the Exam Registration and Employer Verification Form.
Step 4: Schedule and Pass the Proctored CCAM Certification Exam
After meeting the educational requirements and submitting your registration form, schedule and successfully pass the proctored CCAM Certification Exam.
Important Exam Requirement: The proctored MCAM Certification Exam must be scheduled within three (3) months of granting the certification exam.
Step 5: Complete Your Certification
Submit the Certification Agreement Form through: Education Center → My Certifications → MCAM → More Information
Once all requirements have been met and approved, you will earn your MCAM designation.
