VETERAN COMMUNITY MANAGER HAMLET VAZQUEZ EARNS MCAM DESIGNATION
The Master of Community Association Management is the highest professional recognition in the state

LAGUNA HILLS, Calif. (September 19, 2019) – The California Association of Community Managers (CACM) is proud to announce that Hamlet Vazquez, MCAM-HR, has been awarded the Master of Community Association Management (MCAM) designation, the highest professional recognition available for California community association managers.

Hamlet Vazquez

Vazquez, MCAM-HR, has served as a high rise community manager for nearly 14 years, first obtaining his Certified Community Association Manager (CCAM) designation then his High Rise specialty certificate. He’s the general manager of West Ocean Association with two high rise buildings in downtown Long Beach, California.

Vazquez, who works for Action Property Management, has a deep love for learning and professional development. In addition to his MCAM, Vazquez is working toward a Master’s in Business Administration. He has a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Theological Studies.

“If you’re doing a job professionally, why wouldn’t you want to do the best possible?” said Vazquez. “For me, whatever I do, I want to do with excellence. Certifications teach you how to do your job better and I love to learn.”

To earn the MCAM, community managers have to complete a specialty certificate in one of the management specializations; hold a CCAM certification in good standing for a minimum of six years at the time of application; submit the MCAM application, and successfully complete a three-part assessment including a 100-question exam, written solution-based essay and oral presentation. With his MCAM designation, Vazquez joins an elite group of community managers.

“The certification panel was highly impressed with Hamlet’s knowledge of high rise community management,” said Judy Levinsohn, Director of Education & Credentialing for CACM. “He showcased an incredible level of expertise and presented confidently. We are happy to see him achieve this designation and delighted that he continues to seek professional guidance and development.”
