Associa employees pursue education and serve as instructors through statewide organization

LAGUNA HILLS, CA, November 30, 2021—The California Association of Community Managers (CACM) is proud to announce the growing participation from Associa’s California employees and staff in CACM education and certification. Currently, community managers across Associa’s California branch offices are pursuing their CCAM certifications, in addition to the many who have already obtained their CCAMs. Achieving the CCAM (Certified Community Association Manager) signifies that the community manager is proficient in best business practices, California-specific laws and ethical guidelines that apply when managing community associations. Community managers who have earned the CCAM certification are able to manage communities more effectively, which creates an atmosphere of mutual trust between board members, homeowners and the manager.

Jeremy Wilson, CCAM, Vice President of Professional Community Management – An Associa Company, recently obtained his CAMEx designation, reserved for individuals who have the highest level of decision-making authority within a management business or community and who are responsible for the strategic direction of their organization. Wilson also serves as a CACM course instructor and was a panel speaker at CACM’s Executive Leadership Summit earlier this year in San Diego. In addition to Wilson, Keith Lavery, CCAM, Senior Vice President of Associa – Desert Resort Management, also serves as instructor for CACM courses.

In addition, Tiffany Hannah, CAMEx, CCAM-ND, Regional Vice President, West Region for Associa serves on the CACM Board of Directors, which sets the association’s vision and strategic direction. She’s based in Southern California and regularly attends CACM events and conferences.

In 2021, CACM conducted virtual private courses for community managers at Professional Community Management and The Prescott Companies.

“We’re excited about the renewed partnership with Associa and seeing the enthusiasm across all levels of their organization in education and certification,” said Tom Freeley, CAMEx, CCAM, President and CEO. “From becoming certified to then giving back through teaching or serving on our board, we’re grateful for Associa’s contribution to our industry and to CACM.”

“We’re proud to support the education and development of our Community Managers. Education is the key to providing excellent service to our clients and to creating a positive work experience for our teams. CACM’s new membership offerings make their programs and events a real value for our California companies,” said Debra Warren, Vice President of Learning & Development for Associa.
