This scenario-based course
is designed to assist you in evaluating a wide variety of insurance dilemmas. You
will explore the questions that have to be answered in order to determine the
“insurable interest” and work with actual policies to better understand
how to analyze the rights and responsibilities you should expect and demand.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
– Examine emerging insurance
trends;
– Develop strategies to
prepare your board for understanding when and why it’s time to bring in
new coverage’
– Review the
“exotic” coverage needed for lakes, swim teams, daycare and more;
– Utilize risk
management principles to manage the association’s exposure; and
– Acquire a best
practices approach for insuring your association clients.
Please note:
This is an advanced-level course. Members must hold a valid CCAM or CAFM in order to satisfy the course pre-requisite. Prior completion of INS200 is strongly recommended.
Completion
of either INS200 or INS300 is required of all members pursuing a specialty
designation.
